ACC Cements plans new unit in Ameta

ACC Cements is planning to set up a greenfield cement project in Ameta in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up of 3.0 mtpa cement plant with a clinker unit of 2.7 mtpa.

The project also involves expansion of its limestone mines in capacity from 5.445 mtpa to 9.495 mtpa, a captive power plant of 85 MW, a coal washery with a production capacity of 0.405 mtpa. As of December 2018, the project has been approved the company’s board and is in planning stage.

  1. It’s not new in 1910 , ACC had established a cement plant near Ameta village they stopped the production and shifted to Kymore in 1921 probably the second oldest cement plant of the country after porbandar in Gujarat
