Som Distillery plans expansion programme at Sehatganj

Som Distilleries Pvt Ltd is planning to expand its distillery in Sehatganj in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves expanding grain and molasses based distillery capacity from 120 klpd to 200 klpd. It will also set up a new distillery with a production capacity of 300 klpd. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 2,430 million for the expansion and ₹ 8,550 million for the new 300 klpd unit.

The distillery will produce rectified spirit, extra neutral alcohol, India made foreign liquor etc.,

The project also involves construction of setting up of a 6.0 MW cogeneration power plant with an incineration boiler of 75 TPH. Land required for the project is already available. The project may go operational by September 2019.
