Cox India Ltd is planning to set up a grain/molasses based distillery in Nowgong Tehsil in Chhatrapur district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a 60 klpd distillery and a 1 MW cogen power plant. Products to be manufactured are industrial alcohol, rectified spirit & Indian made foreign Liquor (IMFL). The project cost is estimated at Rs. 200 million.
